Reebok is a well-known global athletic footwear and apparel company with a long and evolving history. In 1958, two of Foster's grandsons, Jeff and Joe Foster, formed a companion company named "Reebok." The name comes from "rhebok," an Afrikaans word for a type of African antelope known for its speed and agility. In 1979, American businessman Paul Fireman discovered Reebok at a trade show and secured a licensing and distribution deal for the United States, establishing Reebok USA Ltd. This was a pivotal moment that propelled the brand to global recognition.
