Released originally in 2019, this updated MAFATE SPEED 2 was built to offer support and cushioning in technical terrain over any distance. True to HOKA's early-days ethos, the maximalist midsole provided a cloud-like ride over even the most difficult terrain. This luxury stands in stark contrast to the aggressive design, with abrasion-resistant welded overlays crisscrossing the upper. The Vibram® outsole sports large 5mm lugs to offer ample traction across the types of terrain this shoe was designed to traverse. This update includes a deep Active Foot frame for support and a tuned Meta-Rocker for smooth transitions throughout the gait cycle
